This guide explains how the employers can assist their worker obtain a new passport. |
1. Download and complete the Passport Application Form
2. Assist the worker to complete the form
a. Choose the passport service required - AT THIS STAGE, ONLY NORMAL PROCESSING IS PERMITTED.
b. Make sure the worker signs withing the top right space and at the bottom left.
3. Arrange for the worker to get a new passport portrait photo taken from a place that does these, eg Australian Post, NZ Post Shop or most Pharmacies. The photo must be ELECTRONIC and not a printed copy.

4. The worker requires their birth certificate. We do not keep copies of these on file. Ask the worker. Sometimes they will carry a copy with them to Australia/NZ so please scan. If they don't then tell them that they must arrange for someone to get a copy from Civil Status.
5. Email the following to us (Email link is
a. The expired/expiring passport copy [If the worker is not in our database (ie, not recruited through Empower SWR) ]
b. A copy of the birth certificate if you have this
c. The application form
6. Send their contact to us to collect all printed documents.
7. The contact then takes the documents down along with an accompanying cover letter from us. Explaining that we are their agent and the situation.
Note: This process can take up to THREE MONTHS.
